Instagram Story Highlight Revamp

As a graphic designer, I developed a revamp of the Instagram story highlights to create an up-to-date, visually cohesive experience for viewers. After a Canva glitch caused the initial design to disappear, I remade and completed the project just in time for me to step into the Marketing Manager role. The story highlights now serve as a key point of information for anyone exploring UREC’s IG, check them out here!

UREC Area Stickers

While working as Graphic Designer Specialists at UREC, Andrew Banocy and I teamed up to develop branded area stickers. Our goal was to create designs that both highlighted UREC’s brand and helped students feel more connected to the spaces they interact with.

Instagram Feed Post

The Goal:

I created this concept for UREC's social media channels as a way to connect with students through a timely and culturally relevant trend. By launching the post on the same day as a new Fortnite season release, I created a playful "spoof" announcement that reimagined UREC locations, branding, and student experiences through the lens of the game. The goal was to step outside of UREC's typical content style, increase engagement through humor and relatability, and showcase how emerging AI tools and creative storytelling can be used to make campus recreation feel more relevant and exciting to a student audience.

The Result:

The Fortnite collaboration became one of UREC's most engaging social media posts, generating strong interaction through likes, comments, and shares. The post sparked conversation and positive engagement while reinforcing UREC's brand in a fresh and unexpected way.

Instagram Reels

First Video

The main idea of our first reel was to have particiapnts make a half-court shot to win a prize. I filmed and edited this reel during March Madness to help with views and engagement.

Brainstorming ideas for UREC’s Instagram feed is always a blast, especially when I get to create content that excites our participants. One of my favorite projects was a series of reels inspired by AreYouKiddingTV, where I put a fun UREC twist on classic, amusing challenges. The videos were a hit, with over 95,000 views across the three reels, showing how much people love engaging with creative, lighthearted content. A big thank you to my UREC Marketing co-workers for starring in the reels and helping me film, I couldn't have done it without them! Each reel was edited using Adobe Premiere Pro.

Second Video

The main idea behind this reel was to gather a group of participants around to collectively partake in a yoga challenge. We filmed this challenge in the Fitness Center due to the high volumes of participants coming in and out.

Third Video

The main idea behind the last reel was to take the challenge outside of UREC to gather more participants. We created a multi-camera set up to capture the chase down the Quad.
