Local Emergency
Planning Committee
(LEPC)

I absolutely loved working on this project and getting the chance to give back to a local organization that does such important work. This was my first time doing a full logo redesign and creating a complete brand guide, which made the experience even more rewarding and pushed me to think more critically about branding as a whole. We spent weeks refining our designs starting with sketches, moving to rough drafts, and going through countless revisions — while giving and receiving feedback from classmates. It was such a fulfilling process, and I found so much joy in creating something meaningful that will actually be used. I’m really looking forward to taking on more projects like this in the future!

Sketches

To start the process, I brainstormed over 10 logo concepts, focusing on visual elements/symbols that represent the LEPC's mission and purpose.

Roughs

After narrowing down my strongest ideas, I moved into Adobe Illustrator to digitally construct and refine the core shapes and structure of each logo.

Drafts

At this stage, I began incorporating color, fine-tuning details, and narrowing my designs down to one potential logo that best captured the organization’s identity.

Final Logos

Once the final design was chosen, I created variations to ensure adaptability across different mediums, including light and dark backgrounds, single-color applications, and scalable formats.

To tie everything together, I compiled a full brand guide outlining the logo usage, brand colors, typography, and tone of voice to maintain consistency across all branding materials.
